RBGLP leads clients through Africa’s energy transition, providing strategic legal advice to support the decarbonisation of energy systems while enhancing energy security.

The Issue

Zambia and the sub-region are rich in renewable energy resources, offering significant potential to transition from fossil fuels to cleaner energy solutions. However, this transformation requires innovative financing, robust policy frameworks, and strong partnerships to overcome infrastructure and regulatory barriers.

What We Do

Our services include:

• Advising on the development and financing of renewable energy projects, such as solar farms and hydropower facilities.
• Supporting compliance with climate goals under the African Union’s Agenda 2063.
• Assisting governments and private investors in designing carbon offset and trading schemes.
