Sustainable Finance & Investment

Mission Statement

RBGLP’s Sustainable Finance & Investment group supports clients in Zambia and the sub-region by providing best-in-class transactional and regulatory advice. Our goal is to enable clients to meet key climate and development objectives while harnessing the vast opportunities in the sustainable finance space.

The Issue

Sustainable finance is critical to addressing Africa’s pressing challenges, including climate adaptation, infrastructure deficits, and socio-economic development. Businesses and investors must navigate evolving regulatory requirements and stakeholder expectations to unlock these opportunities.

What We Do

We assist clients in:

  • Establishing ESG-aligned investment funds tailored to Africa’s unique needs, such as renewable energy and social impact projects.
  • Understanding and complying with regional and global sustainability reporting standards, including those linked to the African Continental Free Trade Area (AfCFTA).
  • Structuring innovative financing instruments, such as green bonds, carbon credits, and sustainability-linked loans, to attract global investors.
