Pelekelo Shanungu

Pelekelo is our all-rounder Trainee Associate who possesses both passion and adeptness for the work she does. She brings energy and a level of client care that puts clients at ease. Pelekelo will work directly with you to make sure you get the services you need. She will ensure, among other things:

• Assisting with the preparation, filing and service of pleadings.
• Draftng foundational legal documemts, including originating processes, pleadings, affidavits, and interlocutory applications for review by senior counsel.
• Managing the discovery process, including conducting document review for relevance and privilege, and preparing initial drafts of discovery responses and lists of documents.
• Assisting in substantive trial preparation, including organizing case evidence, preparing bundles of documents and authorities, and drafting witness examination outlines.
• Analysing and summarising deposition transcripts, and key evidence to identify case strengths, weaknesses, and key themes for use in submissions.
• Conducting comprehensive legal and factual research, and preparing detailed research memoranda and preliminary legal opinions on discrete case issues.
• Analysing and distilling complex evidence into clear chronologies, quantum assessments, and evidentiary summaries for internal strategy and formal submissions.
